My Reiki Baby

During 2012 I relocated to Shenzhen, China. Having stepped out of the garment industry and its demands, I found more time for me, self care rituals being daily Reiki practice, Yoga and meditation practice. In November I felt the calling to step up and take the Advanced Reiki level, unknown I was with child, yet on the train travelling to Hong Kong from SZ I had my suspicions. With an open mind and on a growing journey this did not fear me. My son was in womb and included in Reiki Level 3 Attunement. I recall returning to SZ and resting one day at 3 months pregnant, during a self Reiki practice & with my cat also present, resting on my stomach and drawn to the goodness of this energy practice. An immense bubble of warmth resonated in my womb. I felt such nourishment and comfort, knowing a channel of divine energy was connecting us. Fast forward to the imminent due date of Fidel's birth. He was scheduled to enter this world on the 12th August, but a scan on the 27th July we were informed he was still breached, which we were aware of and had naturally worked on him turning. Yet now with cord around his neck, the Chinese Doctor wisely advised me to prepare for a c-section. I was setback with disappointment.

Having had prepped myself for an holistic hypno-birth, with my inner calmness and great focus under difficult situations, and having received advise from my Australian midwife and friend, overnight I reassured myself that this was the right thing to do, when instructed to do so in a Chinese hospital. I informed my Reiki Master in Hong Kong of my upcoming operation to birth and she immediately asked for the time of the operation and that she would send Distance Reiki, for my preparation and aftercare. I also channeled Reiki myself and my midwife was astounded how calm I was.

Fidel was introduced into this world a healthy 3.5kg and 51cm long. No doubt he was ready to appear, and I too felt ready to pop, sometimes thinking in my small frame that he had no room to move or stay inside for a further 2weeks. The time was right!

The doctors were amazed on the speed of my recovery and lack of need for morphine or strong painkillers. I healed and recovered miraculously fast and put this down to the Power of Reiki from within and channeled from a distance.

Fidel is now a typically energetic 6yr old, who has always had a wonderfully, deep, sleep routine, which I also think is the result of his Reiki Energy connection. Reiki helps promote sleep, rest and relaxation to restore the body and mind, and is particularly effective for kids of all ages.
